Counter-Strike: Extreme Masters II Melee

Hannover, Germany (GotFrag) -- It is a double dip weekend for Counter-Strike enthusiasts as CeBIT 2008 will play host to both the Samsung European Championship and of course the Extreme Masters II Finals. If you want to follow the SEC matches then you're in the wrong place, go here (link coming soon) to check out those matches. The ESL is awaiting to crown a new Extreme Masters champion after last seasons winners, Meet Your Makers (PGS at the time), failed to qualify this time around. Ten teams will be looking to fill that void left by MYM, but just one will do so. Will the struggling, yet heavily favored, fnatic squad add to their list of achievements with another tournament win? Or will another team make their mark at the top of the podium. After the round robin stage finishes, the top team will automatically advance. The second place team will then play the third place team of the opposing group with the two winners advancing. From there, the four teams left standing will play a double elimination best of one bracket to determine the champion. Also don't forget to check out the Extreme Masters II All-star game, information can be found here.GotFrag's Editor-in-Chief, Mark "jESUIT" Cheben, and Liam "crow" Crowley are live on-site in Hannover to provide up to the minute match scores and updates along with HLTV, demos, Gamesense match statistics, interviews, photo galleries and much more!
